Why Alexa?
The name “Alexa” is inspired by Alexandria, a historic city by the Mediterranean Sea in Egypt. Known as a centre of knowledge, healing, and learning during ancient times, Alexandria reflects our own foundation: a place where care, knowledge, and service converge. It is also where our founding doctors were trained — making “Alexa” not just a name, but a legacy of excellence.

Alexa Medical is a brand under LX Health Sdn. Bhd., established in 2022 by a group of young medical entrepreneurs. Driven by the vision to fill the gaps in Malaysia’s healthcare system, our aim is to make healthcare more comprehensive, accessible, and community-focused — across primary care, wellness, elderly services, and medical training.

Meet The Directors
A passionate healthcare entrepreneur and medical doctor, Dr. Shahir Nadzir began his professional journey at Alexandria University, Egypt, where he developed a strong foundation in clinical medicine. With experience in primary healthcare, wound care, minor surgery, and nursing support, he is committed to making healthcare more accessible and people-centred. Dr. Shahir plays an active role in healthcare operations and elderly care innovation. Outside of medicine, he is also involved in business and community development, blending entrepreneurship with service.

Graduating from Alexandria University, Dr. Syafiq Nordin is a driven physician and entrepreneur focused on advancing restorative medicine — an approach that seeks to heal by addressing the root cause of illness. As co-founder of Alexa Medical, he leads the group’s efforts in wellness and chronic disease management, while also overseeing financial systems across the businesses. Known for his structured thinking and people-first approach, Dr. Syafiq is dedicated to reshaping healthcare with empathy and precision.
